Anti-spam law compliance
We support the CAN-SPAM Act. We help you build and maintain a list of clients and prospects who are interested and willing to hear from you.
As long as you aren't using this system to send unwanted mass emails, you are compliant. For more details on CAN-SPAM click here.
|
What are Opt-Out emails?
Recipients must be given the ability to remove themselves from your list. Not only does this make you compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act, but also avoids negative connotations associated with spam and avoids the loss of goodwill.

What is your Spam policy?
We do not encourage or allow this site to be used to send Spam or any other mass marketed and unwanted messages. The email marketing services of this company are to be used to market to the users "warm market", that is, their clients and prospective clients. Users violating this policy will be terminated.
ReadyCampaigns.com has a zero tolerance spam policy. We actively track and monitor imported user lists and emails being sent to a large number of contacts. Any customer found to be using ReadyCampaigns for spam will have their account deleted without notice.
In addition, at the bottom of every email an "unsubscribe" link is automatically added. Any individual who tries to remove or circumvent this link, will also have their account terminated without notice. Such users who have their accounts terminated will not be eligible for a refund.
What is Spam?
Spam is unsolicited email also known as UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email). Avoid sending spam by sending only to those who have requested to receive it, those that you know and who know you, those you have a pre-existing relationship with or have opted-in to your list.
What defines a pre-existing business relationship?
You are allowed to send email to those with whom you have a Pre-existing relationship, that is someone who has made a purchase, requested information from you, filled out a survey, been to a seminar, or with whom you have had offline contact.
What constitutes consent?
If you collect email addresses on your website, in questionnaires or at seminars, it is advised to notify your contacts of your intent to email them. To obtain consent means the recipient of your email has been notified of the collection and use of his or her email address and has consented to you sending them something prior to such collection and use.
Isn't there a law against sending Spam?
The federal anti-spam law, called the Can Spam Act of 2003, went into effect on January 1st, 2004 and preempts all state laws. The law outlines the qualifications for spam and what to avoid. For example, every email must have an "unsubscribe" button and the sender's physical address at the bottom in the footer. This is why all emails sent from ReadyCampaigns automatically have an "unsubscribe" button added and why it is required that you put your physical address in the footer. The penalties for violating this law can include a fine and/or imprisonment for up to 5 years. How ReadyCampaigns protects you from sending spam
ReadyCampaigns is a permission-based email-marketing system. We help you comply with the Can Spam Act of 2003:
Communication - By signing up for a ReadyCampaigns account and accepting our license agreement you have agreed to use only permission-based lists of qualified individuals and never to sell or rent your lists.
Unsubscribe link - Emails sent from ReadyCampaigns automatically have an unsubscribe link added to the bottom of your email. This allows your contacts to opt-out or unsubscribe to future emails. Your contact lists are automatically updated and that contact is marked as "inactive" so they are not included in the sending of future emails to that list.
Verification - Your email's "from" and "reply-to" addresses are verified by ReadyCampaigns when you set up your account. If you want to add additional contacts and email addresses, you must contact us to set that up. We verify all email addresses to prevent spammers from setting up fake accounts from which to send spam.
Your Contact Information - Your physical address is required in your footer so contacts know how to get in touch with you in a way other that email.
How can I manage bounces?
Bounces are a tricky thing with email marketing because there are so many factors. There are 2 types of bounces:Soft - The recipient's mail server is temporarily unable to accept your email. This usually happens when the intended recipients's mailbox is full, or if the mail server is unable to be reached.
Hard - The recipient's mail server could not accept the email because the user doesn't exist on that domain. This usually indicates a mis-typed email address. An email can also be hard bounced is the recipient's server is full or if the server tags it as spam, even though it's not.
How to Prevent Bounces: Check to make sure the email address is still valid.
Be careful to use terms in the subject line that are uncommon and not "sales" terms that you would find in a spam email. Even if the email is not spam and is "opt-in" your email may be tagged as spam by the server. Remember it's a computer looking at emails, not people.
Ask your recipients to put you in their Email Address book. This will increase the likelihood that your email will get through.
Other Reasons for Bounces Email address churn in your list - People change ISPs, jobs and email addresses often and sometimes don't tell you. Some email address churn is normal.
The use of free email accounts -
Many people who use free email accounts (gmail, hotmail, yahoo, etc.) do so as a secondary mailbox. As a result, they do not check their mailbox often. Free email accounts, and some paid accounts, can hold only a limited amount of email, so many times newsletters and advertising email will bounce back as undeliverable because the mailbox is full.
What does Single and Double Opt-in mean?
Opt-in e-mail is a term used when someone is given the option to receive "bulk" e-mail, such as a mailing list, newsletter, or advertising. Obtaining permission before sending e-mail is critical because without it, the e-mail is Unsolicited Bulk Email, better known as spam.
There are two types of opt-in e-mail:
Single (or unconfirmed) opt-in
A new subscriber first gives his/her address to a website or person, but no steps are taken to make sure that this address actually belongs to the person.
Double (or confirmed) opt-in
A new subscriber asks to be subscribed to the mailing list, but unlike single/unconfirmed opt-in, a confirmation e-mail is sent to verify their identity. They usually must click on a link to confirm they want to subscribe to the list.
Do you have an affiliate program?
Yes, we do have an affiliate program. We are always looking for qualified candidates who want to resell our services. Contact Us for information to discuss ways we may work together.
